Posting Links

I noticed a slight issue when posting links to other websites in the forum that the whole link must be added to the post. When links are extremely long like the one for the Classic Marine website in this topic http://www.galawebsite.co.uk/node/45 it breaks the layout of the page when viewed in the Firefox web browser.

To stop this I've added a short script to the page which will shorten links when viewed in posts. The beginning and end of the link will be visible but the middle section will be replaced with dots e.g .... So a link to classic marine would look like something like this:

http://www.clas....rine.co.uk

All links will still work correctly, I just wanted to let everyone know in case you thought your links aren't displaying correctly when previewing posts. This will only effect extremely long links over 60 characters.
