Hi all, I am Joe from Plymouth and the new owner of the Mevagissey Tosher 18ft 6in built in 1975ish called Wild Goose(?).  I was wondering if anyone knew of the boat and its history as I would be very interested.

I believe that she was fishing for Oysters originally out of Fowey and was built by Martin Hurd.  I'm not 100% sure if the name is original but would like to find out the original name if I can.  I am trying to put her back to original state and rig.

Her port registration numbers when fishing were FH27 and at the time of fishing I believe that she had a 6HP Petter engine. She is dipping lug rig and the original colour of the hull was black.  The number that I have got (and I don't know if it's the sail number or build number) is 45.

Thank you for any information that you can provide.

Cheers

Joe.
