23ft FWB - Estren

Estren, my beloved 23' is up for sale, totally due to the fact that I need something larger, ideally a nice Heard 28', so if anyone is looking to trade down I may be interested!

I have seen many 23's,and in my opinion Estren must be one of the best around.  I had her surveyed when I was completing a refit after purchase in 2013 to which all points were dealt with.

The Vetus 20hp engine though new when Estren was built in 1987 has been regularly professionally serviced during my ownership, uses no oil and never misses a beat. I had  the  hull professionally scraped down, gel shielded and copper coated this year so she is guaranteed to be maintainance free for at least the next ten years.

The rig is sound and although most of the sails (white)are well used I had them professionally serviced and laundered this year.

She has a 2 reef point main, jib, and staysail, both on wycombe Martin furlers, a hank on heavy weather jib, blue and white stripped topsail (2014) and light weather (ex spinnaker) which I fly as a cruising shoot from the end of the bow sprit.

She has the larger coach roof and down below has 3 good berths in two cabins. (Plenty of room for air bed on saloon floor also) marine toilet, hanging locker, new (2016) solid teak chart table, re upholstered bunk cushions (2917) and excellent new spirit stove, so no gas. Sink with hand pump brass faucet. There is a teak fold up table which can either go in the saloon or cockpit.

She comes with brass oil saloon and nav lights,

A walker trailing log, Ray marine 1000 tiller pilot (2016) beaching legs, clipper depth and Clipper wireless wind speed and direction, and much more.

The previous owner who had her built supplied me with two folders of letters between him and Martin Heard re her specification etc plus much more which makes fascinating reading.
