18ft Tosher - Tykki Duw

Tykki Duw (Cornish for butterfly) is an 18’ 6”  Mevagissey Tosher  built by Martin Heard at  the Gaffers and Luggers boatyard at Mylor, Cornwall in 1988.

She underwent a year long refit at Mylor boatyard in 2015, carried out by Sam Heard, Martin’s son, including re-painting, re-varnishing and fitting a brand-new Beta Marine 10hp two cylinder diesel engine. She subsequently spent six weeks on a Tamar River mooring (see photo below) without being used, before being moved to Calstock Boatyard, where she has remained in storagever since. She comes complete with a custom built Tyrone Snell road/launching trailer, custom made boom tent (pictured above) , sails and lifejackets etc.
